Halloween is a great time to dress up and go "trick or treating", to collect the biggest bag of goodies possible. But there's a dark side… it's the worst night of the year for teeth. Many of the gooey, sticky, hard or crunchy candies are murder on braces, and they're no treat even for teeth without braces. Cavities lurk in those bulging goodie bags.
Because of this Dr. Griggs will trade your collected candy for tokens that you can trade for prizes. The candy collected will be shipped to our service men and women serving overseas. Additionally, Dr. Griggs will make a generous donation to a local charity based on the amount of candy collected.
This is a Win-Win. Thanks to all of your candy donations we collected 159 lbs of candy!

Castro Valley Little League Opening Day
Dr. Griggs has worked for years to ensure that the children in our community have the best possible guidance towards adult healthy teeth. Dr. Griggs provided free mouth guards to Castro Valley Little League players at the opening day ceremonies. Dr. Griggs gives back to the community and is a proud sponsor of many local sport teams.

I would like to thank everyone who supported and participated in The National Orthodontic Health Month activities. Thanks to all of your generous candy donations we collected 164 lbs of candy. Dr. Griggs donated $500.00 to The Castro Valley Outreach. "We wanted to do something for the Castro Valley Outreach program in our community to salute the great work they do for local families that are in situations of crises or of temporary hardship."
Dr. Griggs donated all candy collected to the "Blue Star Moms" to send to our men and women overseas.
We would also like to thank everyone who participated in the coloring contest and guessing the amount of candy collected. We received so many great pictures it was so hard to pick a winner. Great job everybody!
